Milt and Myrna's Finn McCool wins at the Vizsla Trial January 10, 2009 in the Amateur Limited Gun Dog stake handled by Matt Smith to finish him as a Field Champion.  Finn did a great job going to all the right spots with very little handling needed in a big open course looking very nice. With two finds, both with perfect manners and a nice big finish he got the job done in the last brace to win the stake. Matt Smith handled him in only his second time handling and did all the right things at all the right times to get him around and keep him in order on his bird work. Great job guys, we're all proud of you. Now on to Finn's AFC we hope in the near future.  Milt and Myrna had some nice things to say about his win.

Loki, owned by Bob and Sandra Dietering took third in a nice Open All Age stake. Loki was total all age in his race and his bird finds. His first find was stolen by a Coyote right out from under his nose as the Scout "Gina" found him standing way out on a limb and was starting to point him out to the handler and judges. Going on and regaining the lead, he finished the brace with a find at 28 minutes. Perfect bird work and a disappearing finish lead to a 3rd place behind two very nice All Age dogs.

The two Dezastor Brothers Thor and Java, both finished 1st and 3rd in the puppy. Thor had a very smooth, big race checking back in twice, but making huge moves to the front with an easy handle to win the stake. Java who ran every bit as big, but a littler more handle needed to get him around won him the 3rd place spot. Zack's Dezasterous  Thundor (Thor) and Zack's Dezasterous Java are both out of FC Prairie Winds Zackly Right and Prairie Winds Flirtn w Dezastor. Both Sire and Dam are all age dogs and looks like the offspring may be following in their footsteps. Keep your eyes open for these two brothers in the future.
