Buddy is a real nice 2 year old male who is showing excellent promise and is now being used in our breeding program. He has all the right tools that we want here at Hunting Dog Trainer Kennels. He is very biddable, great temperament, has a terrific nose, is very focused on birds, is very patient and has a ton of run. He is owned by Mathew Smith and is Matt's personal hunting dog and is a up and coming field trial dog with us now. He has just been broke and will start his broke dog stakes this year. He was run 3 times as a puppy/derby dog. Finished 2nd and First as a puppy and First as a Derby dog. We have high hopes for him and just based on what we see now we are using him as a stud dog. Not many people get a hunting dog as first-class as him. One that goes both ways, hunting and field trial, is even more extraordinary. This dog dispels the myth of "you cant hunt a field trial dog". He hunts on foot as effortlessly as he does on horse back and at this young age can already tell the difference. We are especially delighted to have him on our team and be able to breed to him. He is at stud to approved bitches only.
